Moments of connection and learning which contribute to engaged and curious young minds engrossed in the business of learning. Precisely those moments which best advertise a school’s success.
Capturing images of peer mentoring and stewardship as older students instruct and guide the younger children. Moments of concentration and focus. Siblings at play.
When photographing in an educational environment, I find it best to get in amongst the action, join in and dismantle any barriers between myself and the children, no matter their age, to enable me to capture the activities as they naturally flow.
I do sometimes semi-choreograph an image where necessary. Generally though, there’s an abundance of genuine opportunities without me needing to intervene.
If you’d like to discuss your requirements for school photography I’m very happy to take a call or schedule a video chat to answer any questions. You may have a firm brief to follow already or need to bounce around some ideas for what could be the best fit. If you’d prefer to, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Some of the Hampshire schools I have worked alongside include; Bedales, Churchers College, Sheet Primary School, Diggers Forest School, UCA.
